I want to switch from another host and have a question. Are all my files currently on my website going to switch over or is there anything special I will need to do? I want to make the transition as smooth as possible with as little down time as possible.

You can purchase an account then submit a support ticket at bigbluesupport.com to migrate your site. Then once the site is migrated you can change over the DNS from old host to Bigbluehost.com. Once you have verified that everything is working you can cancel with your old host. There should be no downtime.
