I really don't know what the deal is here. I'm having problems uploading files in either cPanel file manager OR my FTP client. I know some of the problem is due to folders NOT being writable and the fact that I am unable to change their permissions because apparently the server won't allow me to (Why I ask? Aren't they MY files?). I don't know what the other part of the problem is. SmartFTP won't upload files at all in some folders, cPanel file manager shows that it's uploaded the file, but when you refresh the folder the file isn't in it. All I'm trying to do is here is modify and overwrite theme files for a forum and it's becoming impossible.
